Hello!
The YES on Local Control Issues Committee filed its report today showing contributions of around $110,000, and what I find most disturbing is a $50,000 contribution from a developer that was made just 4 days BEFORE the developer had a project for approval before the Board of County Commissioners. Color me jaded, but after years of watching Teal in action, we can just wonder by this timing what kind of political leverage was brought to bear.
YES on Local Control Campaign Finance Report
Colorado law requires campaign committees to report contributions and expenditures. This committee was required to report its information on June 3 and its next report is due June 20, only 4 days before ballots are counted. Looks like the green and white large mailer that arrived last week cost over $58,000! There are other committees involved, so there's little doubt this is just the beginning of the propaganda onslaught for the next 3 weeks.
But if you are asking yourself the question "Is this ALL the expenditure info regarding the Yes on Home Rule movement?" you get extra credit. You may recall that at the very same time the home rule vote was announced in March, a non-profit corporation was set up for benefit of helping this scheme get past voters. BUT...because it is a NON-PROFIT corporation, it only has to register with the state as such and DOES NOT HAVE TO REPORT HOW IT RAISES OR SPENDS ITS MONEY! This is the darkest of "dark money"--purposely meant to keep us all in the dark as to who is really funding this county government power-grab. Apropos for a scheme conceived and planned in the dark shadows behind closed doors without ANY consideration or input by We the People!

This is really accurate, isn't it? My favorite part is the crossed out "Yes on Local Control" to "NO to Corruption" and pointing out that Local Voices are "Not Heard"
The forces pushing this propaganda are actually working AGAINST local control of water and our schools to put them in the hands of a commissioner cabal that has already proven that it cannot be trusted to respect and protect the interests of We the People!
