Home Rule would be the largest change to Douglas County government in Douglas County’s history.
The election starts on June 2nd - just two months after the Commissioner's passed the Home Rule initiative in a 4 minute meeting with no deliberation and no public comments.
It starts with a $500,000 special election that has no campaign finance law protections for residents.
Our presenters, Former Commissioner of eight years Lora Thomas (R) and Community Organizer Angela Thomas (D) are opposed to County Home Rule and will explain why.
